Bakers Delight Woolooware Bay is a retail bakery that forms part of Australia’s most recognised and respected bakery franchise. We specialise in artisan-style, handcrafted bread and baked goods produced entirely in-house, from raw ingredients through to finished product. Every loaf, roll, bun, and pastry is individually prepared, fermented, shaped, proofed, and baked on-site daily to maintain our high standards of freshness, texture, and flavour. The Role: We are seeking a Baker to join our busy Woolooware Bay Bakers delight team. The successful candidate will be responsible for hands-on preparation and baking of bread, rolls, buns, and other bakery items to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities Preparation and production of quality bakery products to Bakers Delight. Training will be provided for the BDH recipe. Inspect equipment and premises before production to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards. Evaluate the quality of raw materials, accurately weigh ingredients, and ensure consistency in product standards throughout the baking process. Mixing, kneading, and preparing dough for breads, buns, rolls, and pastries Prepare pastry fillings for various baked products. Operate machines for rolling and moulding dough. Monitor oven temperatures and product appearance to determine optimal baking times. Coordinate the forming, baking, cooling, and de-panning of bread, rolls, and pastry batches. Glaze buns and pastries and decorate cakes with icing or cream. Implement and maintain strict bakery hygiene practices, including cleaning, sanitising, greasing, and storing all trays, tins, benches, and machinery after use. Training and supervising junior staff and apprentices as required Hand-shape dough varieties including sourdough, baguettes, and specialty loaves to maintain artisanal quality and authenticity. Skills and Experience Requirements We are looking for people who are prepared to come on our growth journey with us! To be considered for this role you need to be able to meet the following selection criteria.
