About the role As a dedicated phlebotomist you will be a key part of the diagnostic process, providing a high level of customer service and care to patients while supporting critical laboratory functions. You will be responsible for specimen collection, data entry, and the accurate management of samples in the pre-analytical stage to ensure timely and high-quality diagnostic testing. Your contribution will directly support patient diagnosis and treatment outcomes across a multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this role, you will receive close direction and ongoing training to support your development. You will handle tasks such as receiving and preparing specimens, maintaining proper storage and transport conditions, and accurately entering patient information into laboratory systems. If applying for an OPS2 role you must have at least 2 years of phlebotomy experience within Australia. Shifts are 0600-1100, 0700-1200, 0800-1700 working on the LMH Ward Rounds and outpatient Collection Centre as part of a dedicated phlebotomy team to collect samples from hospital patients. Collection Centres across the NALHN area with varied start and finish times. Short and long shifts available 6 Weeks of full-time training will be provided. Preferably holding a CERT III in Phlebotomy with a recent placement. Must be available for 0600 and 0700 starts. Contracts from as small as 18HRS per fortnight to 54HRS per fortnight.
