The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate experience in the areas of: • Assist the Academic Head in leading and shaping teaching and learning across the Mathematics faculty • Model high-quality pedagogy as an experienced Mathematics practitioner (Stages 4–6), inspiring students and staff to achieve their personal best • Teach Mathematics across Stages 4–6, with significant expertise in Advanced and Extension Mathematics (experience essential) • Plan, develop, and deliver engaging and academically rigorous Maths lessons that cater to diverse student needs and support effective teaching and curriculum implementation • Support curriculum planning and assessment aligned with NESA standards and the College’s Learning Framework • Foster a safe, supportive, and aspirational learning environment, prioritising student wellbeing and development • Mentor and guide staff through professional learning opportunities aligned with both student needs and faculty growth, contributing to a dynamic and engaged professional learning community • Work collaboratively with the faculty to promote a culture of academic excellence and continuous improvement • Oversee the implementation of new syllabi and strategic educational initiatives within the department • Lead the management of student behaviour and maintain an educational environment that promotes engagement and growth • Contribute to the academic excellence and pastoral care of our students.
