Role DescriptionWe’re looking for someone with around 6 years’ experience who’s comfortable balancing field work and office-based design, and ready to take on a growing mentorship role within the team.You'll be stepping into a role that gives you a broad scope—managing investigations from the ground up, contributing to practical design solutions, and helping junior team members find their feet. What You’ll Be Doing:Scoping, planning and leading site investigationsConducting geotechnical analysis and preparing design reports for foundations, retention systems, pavements, etc.Working closely with geologists and other disciplines to deliver practical, buildable solutionsBeing the go-to contact for Clients on technical mattersSupporting and mentoring graduate and junior engineers—both on-site and in the officeHelping manage workflow and assit with technical reviews on projects large and small What We’re Looking ForYou’re probably already working as a project-level engineer and looking for the next step up—more responsibility, more client interaction, and more opportunity to lead.You’ll bring:Strong geotechnical skills—across site logging, lab/test interpretation, and analysisConfidence working across a mix of field and office workA solid foundation in design principles (shallow and deep foundations, retaining walls, settlement, slope stability, etc.)Good writing and communication skills—you can get the message across without the jargonA willingness to guide junior engineers and be part of a collaborative team cultureEA membership and/or working toward CPEng (we can support this) Bonus Points for:Postgrad studies in geotech or engineering geologyFamiliarity with Sydney soils and ground conditionsA good eye for managing multiple projects and deadlines What’s In It For You?At Fortify, you won’t be a small cog in a big wheel.
