We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical and Instrument Technician to join our drilling operations team. This role is vital in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of electrical and instrumentation systems on our drilling rigs. You will be responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting faults, and ensuring all systems are compliant with industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and repair electrical and instrumentation systems on drilling rigs and associated equipment. Conduct inspections and calibrations of instruments including pressure, temperature, flow, and level sensors. Troubleshoot faults in control systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS) and field instrumentation. Maintain and update electrical schematics, loop drawings, and documentation. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company standards (IEC, NEC, ATEX, etc.). Support drilling operations by minimizing downtime due to electrical/instrumentation failures. Participate in regular safety meetings and contribute to a strong safety culture. Requirements: Must have cert 3 Minimum 2 years' experience in the drilling, oil & gas, or offshore industry. Solid understanding of hazardous area classification and intrinsically safe equipment. Experience with PLCs, control systems, and automated drilling technologies is an asset. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Valid offshore medical and survival certifications (e.g., BOSIET, HUET) preferred.
