About the role: The Credit Support Specialist plays a key role in supporting the Credit Management function by driving compliant practices that maximise cash flow, minimise bad debt, and enhance customer engagement. As the second in charge and subject matter expert, this role spans both the Collections and Credit Administration teams, ensuring operational efficiency, deep knowledge sharing, and high performance. In partnership with Team Leaders, the Credit Support Specialist coaches and develops team members, conducts quality assurance, and contributes to project initiatives, including system testing. This role also serves as a central point of contact for internal stakeholders, providing expert guidance on customer related matters. You will: Support and Engage Team Members. Actively listen, stay visible, and show curiosity to support team members while fostering strong relationships and a collaborative team environment. Provide Leadership. Lead by example through hands on involvement in operational tasks during peak times, and act as a role model by displaying exemplary leadership and professionalism. Drive Performance and Development. Conduct regular coaching, quality assurance, and training. Manage Daily Operations and Escalations. Allocate tasks, manage intraday activity to meet targets and SLA’s, handling escalated phone calls and emails to ensure smooth daily operations. Analyse Data and Identify Opportunities. Review accounts and data to uncover trends and improvement opportunities, contributing to informed decision making and strategic planning. Lead Continuous Improvement Initiatives. Critically assess and improve processes and procedures, lead improvement reviews, and collaborate with stakeholders to implement effective, compliant solutions. What you’ll bring: Leadership Potential and Passion for Development. Demonstrated experience as a 2IC or a strong aspiration to lead, with a genuine passion for developing both people and self. Extensive Credit Management Expertise. Solid background in credit management, ideally within the energy industry, with deep knowledge of collections and administrative tasks such as bankruptcy, disconnection, liquidation, missing payments and refunds. Coaching and Training Proficiency. Proven experience in coaching, quality assurance, and training to support team growth and performance improvement. Strong Relationship Building Skills. Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering trust and collaboration. Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Abilities. Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly and relate well to others. Proactive Problem Solving . Highly proactive with strong initiative and advanced problem solving capabilities.
