The Retail Credit Specialist is responsible for implementing and maintaining coaching programs that support the Credit Operations staff in understanding and effectively managing retail credit products the role will be responsible for building a hub of lending excellence. In this role you will have the opportunity to build team capability through enhanced decision-making, regulatory compliance, risk mitigation and delivering exceptional service to our Dealer, Novated Leasing and Customer network. Key Responsibilities; Credit underwriting expert and advises on policy adherence, credit procedures & appetite, training, QA, and strategy. Acts as an escalation point, contributes to strategic initiatives. Supports culture of continuous learning, professional development, and succession planning. Design, develop and deliver regular coaching sessions across the team to improve credit underwriting expertise, skills and performance Fosters continuous learning and career development. Conducts QA checks, contributes to QA strategy, ensures regulatory compliance; acts as liaison with 2nd line risk and compliance. Review and provide remediation assistance on problem accounts relating to internal (e.g. service/collections) or external (AFCA, ASIC) requests Ensure all decisions for the team and themselves are executed in accordance with Delegated Authority Matrix Uses data analytics for QA improvements and monitoring team performance. Partners closely with Executive Manager, Credit Operations, Lead Analyst, People Managers, Credit Ops, and technical specialists; Supports in strategic initiatives; contributes to a hub of lending excellence. Experiences Considerable Credit/Lending/Underwriting Experience Experience in quality assurance, performance coaching, or team leadership roles, preferred Strong understanding of credit principles, risk & financial analysis, and industry regulations Strong proven analytical abilities and problem-solving skills Ability to lead training sessions and workshops for diverse learning styles High attention to detail with the ability to evaluate underwriting quality against established standards Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team Employee Benefits We have a long list of benefits to suit your needs.
