Senior Civil Project Engineer - Site Based - 2/1 Our client, a mining owner/operator based in WA is currently seeking an experienced Civil Project Engineer to join their team working on a large Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) construction project on their site located north of Kalgoorlie. This position will be 6 months worth of work and is open to an immediate start. It will be working on a 2/1 roster but there is potential for some flexibility to a 12/9 roster, the position will be offered as a contract position paid on an hourly rate and days on site will be 12 hours. As a Senior Civil Project Engineer you will be responsible for overseeing the construction contractors for the TSF. This will require you to engage with numerous stake holders internal and external, oversee QA/QC ensuring compliance with best practice, and when required providing technical input to help remedy and issues discovered during construction. You will also be responsible for tracking progress and ensuring key deadlines are being met. If you are interested in applying for the position, we would love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities: Oversee TSF construction contract as part of the owner’s team Manage Technical Queries (TQs) and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Review payment claims and manage variations Track and drive progress against the project schedule Coordinate with other contractors, including Mining and TSF Designer Promote and maintain a strong safety culture onsite Conduct daily reporting, progress monitoring, and escalate issues along the critical path as needed Required Experience & Qualifications: Degree in Civil Engineering or Project Engineering 6 years of experience working on mining projects Previously owner/operator experience (highly desired) Strong bulk earthworks field experience Proven experience in site and contractor management Exposure to piping systems (preferred but not essential) About TSS TSS is a specialist recruitment partner for Australia’s resources, energy, and infrastructure sectors.
