Introduction The Technology Deployment Architect (TDA) is the technical driver of IBM's Enterprise License Agreement (ELA). They are tasked with enhancing the client's understanding of their ELA and the capabilities and value it can provide to their business, as well as working with the client to achieve and measure these outcomes. The TDA will identify, expand and accelerate the deployment of IBM solutions through the business and technical advisory relationships they build within their client(s). They are equally a key member of the IBM Client account team, contributing to the planning and activities to transform the client/IBM relationship and assist the client in achieving their objectives. Your role and responsibilities Dedicated to client success, the TDA focuses on the front end of the solution life-cycle. They will work with the client to provide strategic technical advice and assistance with respect to IBM software technology offerings. This will include creating or maintaining appropriate architectural work products that facilitate conversations about potential applications for IBM solutions relevant to the client's current and future business requirements. The TDA will advise on IBM's alignment with existing solutions and architectures, the capabilities of relevant IBM software solutions and how IBM software products may be combined to deliver new or enhance existing business solutions. Where appropriate, the TDA will facilitate the involvement of other IBM specialists who can provide deeper insights into specific IBM technologies. Required technical and professional expertise · Demonstrated ability to build and leverage extensive relationships throughout client and vendor organisations. · Data, AI, Security and Cloud. · Significant solution architect, design and deployment experience within complex IT environments that have resulted in successful business outcomes. · Working knowledge of enterprise architecture standards. · An active interest in current and emerging technologies Preferred technical and professional experience - Helping to maximise the value our clients achieve from execution of the agreement · Provide technical leadership to enhance the client's understanding of the Agreement and the capabilities and value it can provide to the client, as well as work with the client to achieve and measure these outcomes. · Work with the client and other IBMers to understand the strategic business and operational requirements that influence the client's IT approach and use this knowledge to optimise activities related to the Agreement. · Create or maintain appropriate architectural work products e.g. a current technology diagram that shows where IBM products are being used and the client functions these support in the context of the broader IT map. These work products should facilitate conversations about potential applications for IBM solutions relevant to the client's current and future business requirements. · Drive usage of ELA content such as prepaid IBM software Catalogues and Enterprise Licenses. · Understand how IBM's offerings compare, complement or integrate with the client's existing technical landscape. · Where appropriate, facilitate the involvement of other IBM specialists who can provide deeper insights into specific IBM technologies, for skills development or service delivery. - Technical leadership with Client stakeholders · Work with the client and other IBMers to understand the strategic business and operational requirements that influence the client's IT approach and use this knowledge to optimise activities related to the Agreement. · Help connect different parts of the client to link up and synergise their requirements, business cases and project efforts · Run technical roadshows and workshops on IBM offerings and future product strategies · Provide strategic advice to Client on IBM technologies and alignment with their strategic initiatives · Discuss roadmap options to encourage software version currency and gain agreement to plan migrations from end of life products · Provide technical leadership on high level solution design, relevant IBM technology roadmaps and IBM's recommended deployment practices. · Be familiar with the client's quality assurance processes and documentation requirements and help IBM consider these when preparing responses or planning project delivery. · Encourage attendance at IBM events of relevance to the Client · Review customer requirements and conduct 'FitGap' analysis to position IBM offerings with the Client - Technical leadership with Users · Run workshops to ensure familiarisation of IBM software capabilities · Monitor problem records and facilitate resolution if required · Assist Client in minimising risks in IBM technology implementation thereby speeding adoption and future growth. · Facilitate issue resolution by helping client representatives understand and perform their responsibilities in the process and by escalating issues as appropriate. - Insights and Opportunity Identification · Pursue and create opportunities to start conversations about IBM capabilities · Look for and share relevant industry or capability stories that may be of interest to your client · Listen, identify and share opportunities to utilise existing ELA content or for new purchases · Integrate with the IBM client team applying your technical expertise and client insights to the identification and progression of opportunities.
