With a booming, culturally rich and diverse community, and less than an hourâs drive from the CBD, Melbourneâs North is fast becoming the place to be!    The Role: Northern Health is pleased to offer an opportunity for an Intensive Care Fellow â College of Intensive Care Medicine Transition Year (CICM TY) to join our team.  The Transition Year refers to the final mandatory 12 months of intensive care training undertaken by a trainee in a unit approved by the College. The fellow position must be approved by the College prior to the start of the appointment.  This role occupies a position between that of registrar and consultant, with flexibility and graded responsibilities designed to foster increasing clinical autonomy. It also provides opportunities for skill development in research and administration. The position aims to support the traineeâs transition into specialist practice while building on the skills and attributes developed earlier in training, including those assessed through formal examinations and workplace-based assessments. Additionally, it emphasizes further development of the candidateâs non-clinical interests and skills.  To be successful in this role you will have: Must fulfil the following CICM criteria: Satisfactory completion of the required clinical training time and assessments for the core intensive care medicine, anaesthesia and medicine years Satisfactory completion of the Second Part Examination Satisfactory completion of all prescribed courses, learning packages and WBA. Submission of a Formal Project in the format prescribed in the guideline Satisfactory exposure to two out of the three sub-specialities in: Trauma intensive care Neurological / Neurosurgery intensive care Cardiothoracic surgery intensive care Must be a registered Medical Practitioner in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).  Next Steps  . . .
