I’m a 45-year-old woman living with Hereditary Spastic Quadriplegia (Complex), and I’m looking for friendly, supportive, and fun Support Workers to be part of my journey in achieving my NDIS goals. I love cats, koalas, chocolate, and salty foods. I also enjoy being social—having conversations, feeling involved when people talk around me, and being acknowledged. What truly makes me happy are the activities I love: Going to the movies, listening to music, doing arts and crafts, getting my makeup done, Visiting the pub, attending music concerts in Adelaide and Victor Harbor and Enjoying fun pamper days I’m looking for a Support Worker who shares my enthusiasm for life, who enjoys working in a team environment, and who can bring a sense of joy and laughter to our time together. The Role This is an exciting opportunity to join my wonderful support team, where you’ll assist me in living my best life. My support model is 2-to-3 staff-to-participant ratio, but sometimes I receive one-on-one support throughout the day. As my Support Worker, your key responsibilities will include: Assisting me with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) PEG feeding Personal care support Manual handling (Level 3) Engaging me in arts, cooking, and home activities Supporting me in achieving my personal goals Facilitating my life skill development through structured programs Providing person-centred active support Keeping accurate records to ensure best practice care Shifts Available I’m looking for Casual with the potential to move into a permanent role. The ideal candidate will be able to work across a 24 hour roster inclusive of active overnights and weekends. What You’ll Need: To be a great fit for my team, you’ll need: NDIS Worker Screening or DHS Disability-Related Check Current Driver’s Licence Current First Aid & CPR Certification Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability/Aged Care) or relevant qualification Dysphagia training PEG feeding training Complex bowel training Manual Handling (Level 3) About You I’m looking for someone who is positive, creative, and fun—someone who brings a calm and patient nature but also knows how to have a good laugh. The ideal candidate will: Have experience supporting people with behaviours of concern Be skilled in implementing individualised developmental programs Understand positive behaviour support strategies Be flexible with working hours Have experience in various models of support Be adaptable to changes in service delivery What You’ll Get To help you feel comfortable in the role, you’ll receive full training from CLO, including buddy shifts with my core team to ease your transition into my support team.
