Lead a High-Impact Processing Operation | Processing Manager | Relocation Housing Provided Are you a strategic and technically skilled Processing Leader ready to drive transformation in one of Australia's most respected mining operations? We are seeking a Processing Manager to oversee all aspects of a metalliferous processing facility—ensuring safe, sustainable, and efficient production while inspiring a high-performing team culture. The Opportunity This is a pivotal leadership role that holds full accountability for site processing operations. You will lead the strategic execution of production, resource planning, process optimisation, and compliance to meet and exceed production, financial, environmental, and safety targets. As the Processing Manager, you’ll champion a culture of innovation, safety, and continuous improvement, while mentoring and developing future leaders in your team. You’ll also work closely with senior management and stakeholders to ensure operations align with both corporate strategy and community expectations. Key Responsibilities Strategic & Operational Oversight Deliver on production, cost, and environmental KPIs. Manage capital projects, equipment reliability, and workforce planning. Lead process optimisation using modern technologies and data-driven decisions. Innovation & Continuous Improvement Implement automation and digital tools to enhance plant efficiency. Reduce ore dilution and maximise metal recovery across the operation. Encourage employee-led innovation and process improvement initiatives. Safety, Health, Environment & Compliance Build a strong safety culture and ensure full regulatory compliance. Lead proactive risk mitigation and environmental stewardship. Oversee transport and rail safety protocols for ore movement. Financial Management Own and manage the processing department’s operating budget. Drive cost-reduction initiatives through smart resource utilisation. Ensure transparent, regular reporting on performance metrics to executive leadership. Leadership & People Development Inspire a diverse and high-performing processing team. Lead performance management and succession planning. Promote a psychologically safe and inclusive work environment. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline. Minimum 10 years’ experience in mineral processing, including 5 years in a senior leadership role. Strong understanding of Australian WHS and environmental regulations. Proven expertise in operational excellence, cost control, and stakeholder engagement. Certificate IV in Frontline Management (or equivalent).
