Essential Functions\: To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation: Works directly with physician’s offices to schedule diagnostic and invasive procedures Receives referrals by phone from the doctor’s office and accurately gathers all necessary information in a courteous manner Coordinates on-going schedule between doctor’s office and hospital ancillary departments Works with department staff and ancillary departments to expediate patient care. Meets standards required of the job Distributes schedules daily to each ancillary department listing all procedures to be performed at our facility Communicates all pertinent information to appropriate personnel with regard to equipment and/or scheduling Immediately notifies appropriate directors of downtime for equipment Responds to changes in work schedule; demonstrates flexibility in view of interruptions Demonstrates competency in how to operate all equipment required in the course of performing job duties Demonstrates the ability to set priorities in the work schedule of each day’s duties and accomplishes those priorities Follow facility and department policies as it pertains to time off Completes all paperwork accurately and in a timely manner Make out schedule for pre-admission testing daily Maintains accurate log of all scheduled procedures daily Maintains accurate records of all follow-up calls to patients, other departments and physicians Cleans and sanitizes telephone and desk in assigned area Other duties as assigned Education\: High School Diploma or Equivalent, required. Medical and radiological terminology preferred Experience\: Must be able to read and write Requires the ability to work with minimal supervision Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
