Head of Business Transformation & Strategy Known internally as Assistant Vice President and reporting to the CFO Finance Director, this role is responsible for leading the strategic planning process, driving business development initiatives, and overseeing program management to ensure the successful execution of company objectives. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong background in strategic planning, business development, and program management. The role will support the Executive leadership team in strategic planning and support the development of long-range goals and strategic priorities. POSITION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Consult and collaborate with business leaders, including Senior Executives across all functions, to define business needs and prioritise initiatives. Develop the organisation’s strategic priorities and long-range planning roadmap in partnership with the Executive team, ensuring alignment with the company’s Vision and business goals. Oversee the planning and execution of high-impact, cross-functional business initiatives within the company's strategic project portfolio, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and driving business performance. Identify and address potential risks proactively, implementing mitigation strategies for smooth progress. Collaborate with the Finance team to align on business targets, budgets, resources, and ROI projections. Conduct financial modelling and ROI analysis with Finance to support strategic planning. Ensure transparency and alignment across the organisation regarding strategic goals and initiatives. Lead the Portfolio governance process, facilitate Executive Steering Committee updates, and provide regular progress reports to leadership. Guide business change management to ensure successful adoption and minimize disruption. Identify and execute business development strategies to drive growth and expand market share. Build and leverage a network of industry contacts for strategic partnerships and acquisitions. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. DIMENSIONS Lead and support strategy programs across all TJX Australia functions, including Supply Chain, Store Operations, Merchandising, Planning, HR, IT, and Finance. Collaborate with international project teams and committees as required. IDEAL EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS / COMPETENCIES Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, MBA, or equivalent experience. 5 years of experience in strategic planning, business development, and program management, especially with large cross-functional projects. Experience leading cross-functional activities. Exceptional interpersonal skills to influence and build rapport with business partners. Strong leadership skills to collaborate with senior leadership and influence outcomes. Effective management skills including negotiation, active listening, conflict resolution, and team leadership.
