POSITION: Cook Location: Golden Wok - Shop FC7, 537 Mulgrave Road, Earlville QLD 4870 Reports To : Joel & Jelina Wheatley (Owners/Directors) Salary : 65,000 to $75,000 Employment Type: Full-time (Rostered across 7-day operation) Primary Purpose of the Role: To prepare, cook, and present high-quality Asian cuisine in a fast-paced food court environment, ensuring food safety standards, portion consistency, and operational efficiency are upheld at all times. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and cook menu items including rice, noodles, stir fries, and entrees to company recipes - Follow safe food handling procedures and hygiene standards (Food Safety Level 1/2) - Set up and clean down kitchen stations, including equipment and utensils - Maintain stock rotation and notify management of low inventory levels - Work cooperatively with front-of-house team to ensure smooth service - Assist in daily prep and batch production for peak trading hours - Maintain kitchen cleanliness to QLD Health compliance standards - Follow instructions from management and work collaboratively with other cooks Essential Skills and Experience: - Minimum 2 years' experience in a commercial kitchen - Ability to handle high-volume food preparation with speed and accuracy - Knowledge of Asian cuisine is highly desirable - Understanding of HACCP and food safety requirements - Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and public holidays Key Attributes: - Reliable and punctual - Calm under pressure - Positive team attitude - Able to take feedback and follow direction
