Description The opportunity The Lead Estimator is responsible for developing and managing detailed cost estimates for potable water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including pipeline rehabilitation and related civil works. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that all estimates are accurate, competitive, and aligned with client expectations and project requirements What you’ll do Review plans, specifications, and other bid documents to develop a full understanding of project scope. Perform detailed quantity takeoffs using digital estimating tools and software. Request and review subcontractor and supplier quotes, ensuring completeness and alignment with project scope. Lead internal estimate reviews and present to senior management and project teams. Maintain historical cost databases, production rates, and pricing templates for continuous improvement. Participate in pre-tender meetings, site inspections, and client presentations as needed. Coach, mentor and train less experienced Estimators to achieve improved output. Manage post submission responses to the client for post submission clarifications Collaborate closely with the Commercial team to understand and develop bid strategies, and ensure estimates align with Commercial terms and tender strategies.
