Company Overview Established in 1871, the Australian Hotels Association (SA) (AHA|SA) is the peak body for the South Australian hotel industry and is a part of the wider National AHA body. With over 600 members, AHA|SA is committed to encouraging, fostering and promoting the pursuit of excellence in service, facilities and management practices for the benefit of the industry and the community of SA. An exciting opportunity has emerged for an Executive Assistant to be a part of AHA|SA. Role Overview Reporting to the CEO, the Executive Assistant will be responsible for providing high level administrative and strategic support by streamlining processes and optimising the CEO’s workflow. Key responsibilities for the role will include:- Managing the effective functioning of the CEO’s daily activities including diary management, document management including correspondence, reports and member updates, along with managing travel arrangements; Scheduling the Association’s various meetings including but not limited to monthly Council meetings, Executive meetings, Annual General meeting along with preparing their documentation (agendas and board papers) and undertaking minutes; Assisting with the co-ordination and organisation of in-house events as well as other industry events when required; Supporting the Front of House with phone inquiries, coordinating mail and guest management; Assisting the AHA team with database management, website updates, membership bulletins and updating staff directory; Providing administrative support to the SA President, Executive Council and National AHA CEO and President when required. Skills, Knowledge, Experience The successful candidate will possess previous experience in an executive support role with the ability to show initiative, adaptability, establish positive relationships and build rapport with staff at all levels. AHA SA is seeking candidates with exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, high-level of organisational skills along with the ability to work with discretion in a fast-paced environment.
