Job Description As Mental Health Clinician you'll play a key role in providing high-quality counselling and supporting the mental health and wellbeing of older individuals. Providing high-quality counselling (individual and group settings) for residents in aged care facilities, helping them navigate mental health challenges. This includes the ability to assess and address the unique needs of each client while using ethical frameworks and professional judgment to navigate complex situations. Collaborating closely with aged care facilities, families, carers, and other stakeholders to ensure a holistic, integrated approach to mental wellbeing. Knowledge of mental health recovery principles , the social model of health , and community networks . Familiarity with therapeutic approaches such as ACT , mindfulness , and brief therapy . Experience working with older adults (highly regarded but not essential). Proficiency in computer applications (Word, Email, databases).
