Head Chef Aged Care / Hotel Services Supervisor Job Title: Head Chef Aged Care / Hotel Services Supervisor Company: WALCHA Council / Apsley Riverview Location: 2E Hill St, Walcha NSW 2354 Type: Permanent Full Time We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Chef/ Cook to join our team at Riverview Aged Care. The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations of our facility's Kitchen Services to ensure standards are met while resident's satisfaction and nutritional requirements are achieved. The incumbent also leads the Hotel Services team, providing cleaning, laundry and other services to our residents. This is a full time (38 hrs per week) permanent position. The Position This position is a hands-on role, covering the entire food journey at our facility, from supplier relations, to ordering, to meal planning, to preparation, cooking and service. The position supervises a small high performing team dedicated to the safe, effective and efficient delivery of meals to our residents, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The position also completes required documentation, prepares menus, orders supplies and supervises our dedicated support staff in the provision of cleaning, laundry and other services. You will ensure the residents dietary needs are met and be able to deliver special meals as required. You will be able to lead a small team and provide training and encouragement to help them meet our high requirements. Your planning skills will be useful to prepare plans and budgets and you will be able to work within budgetary limitations. You will liaise with the Facility Manager, contribute to our continual improvement programs and refinements to our processes. You will hold a Cert III Hospitality or similar or have relevant experience in an Aged Care facility . What we Offer This is a Permanent Full Time position. The position falls under the regulatory Instrument of the Local Government Aged Disability & Home Care Award 2018 and the pay rate will vary based on your previous experience and skills.
