MEI Group is currently seeking a proactive and detail-driven Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing Corporate Shared Services team. This pivotal role supports our global operations across a diverse portfolio of business entities, ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions within a collaborative, high-performing environment. This is a unique opportunity to help build, and shape the future of a global financial function, contributing to a centralised model that supports the full spectrum of MEI Group’s operational entities. While the role will primarily be based at either our Head Office (Canning Vale) location, occasional travel to our Lake Grace site may be required to build operational understanding and connect with frontline teams. Key Responsibilities Accurately process a high volume of invoices across multiple business entities within agreed timeframes. Ensure compliance with company policies, tax regulations, and contractual obligations. Manage and maintain effective relationships with vendors, resolving issues and ensuring prompt payments. Reconcile accounts payable ledgers and ensure the integrity of financial records. Contribute to month-end and year-end close activities by ensuring all payable items are correctly recorded. Monitor payment schedules across entities to maintain optimal cash flow. Generate and analyse reports on accounts payable activities for management. Collaborate with internal departments, vendors, and external auditors to support operational and compliance requirements. Participate in ongoing process improvement initiatives to enhance shared services performance. Be open to occasional travel to our Lake Grace site for operational onboarding and relationship building. Support financial operations across multiple business entities. What You’ll Bring Proven experience in an Accounts Payable or similar financial role. Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal financial controls. Experience within a Shared Services environment is highly desirable. Proficiency in ERP systems (Exonet) and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Outlook). High attention to detail with excellent time management and organisational skills. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage confidently with internal and external stakeholders. A solutions-focused mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements.
