We are seeking a Mechanical Trades Assistant to assist the Maintenance Team with maintenance on production machines and fixed plant equipment in a manufacturing environment. This is a global company based in Malaga and located in over 50 countries. They offer excellent career pathways, support and training. This permanent role would suit anyone with good mechanical skills/aptitude/experience who has an interest in mechanical fitting and can work closely with the two Fitters. If you are partway through a mechanical related Apprenticeship, this would be ideal. The role will see you be mentored by the team and if learning/growing your skills is important to you this will suit you. The role involves doing basic mechanical tasks under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor. Responsibilities encompass providing daily maintenance to maintain production levels, including: Assisting with repairs to machines and/or plant Assist with provision of general maintenance as per maintenance schedule Assist in maintaining and monitoring spare parts & stock to ensure sufficient spare parts on hand assist with basic mechanical tasks (strip, dismantle machinery, use of hand & power tools) Assist with modifications or improvements on machinery This role is an immediate start.
