Workfast is looking for Boilermakers for an immediate start for 6-9 months for a valued client based in Malaga,WA. What you get $65.00 per hour flat rate Monday - Friday - 06:00am - 2:00pm, there will be periods where 10 hour days (06:00am - 04:00pm) are required and occasional 12 hour shift on Saturdays 7.5 Hour Days 6-9 months of work What you need Australian Driver's License MEM31922 Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking/Welding) High Risk Work License – Forklift Overhead Crane (desirable) What you will be doing Perform hard-face overlay welding on cast components and sizer shafts using FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) process Carry out arc air gouging to remove cracks and defective material from sizer shafts and components Fit replacement or refurbished components to bare sizer shafts and wear rings Assist mechanical fitters in the stripping and reassembly of sizer and associated mechanical components Collaborate with the QA/QC team to maintain high standards of workmanship and documentation Operate overhead gantry cranes and forklifts in accordance with site safety protocols and load-handling procedures About us Workfast is a labour-hire company working with some of Australia's largest companies.
