As part of your role, you will help reshape our customer offer and drive growth, identifying and generating opportunities for value creation with suppliers. What you'll be doing • Commercial advisory – leading how our business grows margin and manages our competitive price position • Lead the better buying & pricing team – a team of experienced retail professionals • Supporting and influence category teams in cost and supplier negotiations • Develop our supplier engagement approach to maximise collaboration and value creation • Manage the negotiation skills program, including external relationships – curate 7-Eleven culture of negotiation • Define, align and embed Price & Promotional guidelines/strategy • Partner with senior Commercial Tribe and enterprise stakeholders with key trading and transformational decision-making • Act as a thought leader in Change, Agile and 7-Eleven’s ways of working to motivate and inspire 7-Eleven’s employees About you • Extensive experience within Retail Merchandise, FMCG Pricing/Better Buying/Vendor Management or Commercial Finance • Problem solving and analytical ability paramount • Experience in setting and executing negotiation and/or pricing strategies, or equivalent commercial responsibilities • Proven experience coaching and developing teams in ways of working and industry best practise • Continuous learning and curiosity – looking outwards and forward, proactively responding to a changing environment • High levels of EQ, you lead with self-awareness and high integrity • Experience working in, or closely with, category buying teams Why Join Us? • Vibrant Open Office in Richmond.
