Sunrise clinics span 9 remote communities to the east of Katherine, serving a population of around 3,800, with many of residents facing chronic illnesses that necessitate early detection and comprehensive care. Being the successful GP, you’ll reside and work in the various communities in the Big River region providing clinical services to its residents, while becoming a valuable member of the community. You’ll be supported by a collaborative team and contribute to vital primary health care initiatives and community consultations. What do you need to apply? Specialist General Practitioner registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Fellowship with RACGP or ACCRM Diverse experience in primary health care, suitable for a rural/remote context Understanding and dedication to the principles of Aboriginal community-controlled primary health care delivery GP Locum opportunity Would you like a “Try Before You Buy” locum experience? Sunrise also have a GP locum opportunity available that lets you experience "a day in the life" of a GP in the Big Rivers community for a short period of time, before committing to a fulltime placement.
