VR/Non VR Position DPA available PEP and RVTS eligible site Job Type: Contract - Full Time After Hours Requirements: No Practice Information: This is a fully accredited Mixed Billing General Practice operating under the leadership of their principal GP, They offer a broad range of general health services including preventative health and chronic disease management. Two Fulltime GP are working at the Practice. This practice is a fully accredited modern surgery. They have the luxury of being able to practice general medicine in the good old fashioned way - having time to consult thoroughly, get to know our patients, treat them holistically, but with all the modern conveniences. Excellent specialist and hospital support nearby. Position Description: Clinical Responsibilities: Provide high quality, primary health care services to the community, in keeping with best practice standards. Provide appropriate care and services to patients of all age ranges and level of health care needs. Respond to medical/ health problems presented by patients including history taking, diagnosis, investigation, treatment and referral as appropriate. Provide after hours, on call and hospital services as rostered if applicable. Provide management of long-term conditions in line with national guidelines and pathways. Prescribe for patients as appropriate to need. Provide appropriate health promotion and preventative health care advice to all patients attending the practice. Ordering diagnostic tests as required. Referring patients to other providers as appropriate. Operational Responsibilities: Record and maintain accurate, adequate and relevant patient records using the established practice protocols and computerised medical records system, including details of: Specialist referrals Previous health and family history Prescriptions Investigations Treatment Diagnostic results Registers and recalls Actively communicate and coordinate with colleagues, specialist services and allied health professionals when sharing the care of a patient Salary Information: Percentage of Billings Qualifications and Experience: AHPRA Registration Vocationally Registered Full Australian working rights About Tiaro: The surgery is situated in the small township of Tiaro and is close to Fraser Island, Hervey Bay. Tiaro is just ninety minutes north of the Sunshine Coast, two hours south of Bargara to see the turtles hatch and only three hours from Brisbane.
