The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, a high level of expertise in chemotherapy administration, and a deep understanding of cancer care. You will oversee the chemotherapy unit, ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care, and guide the nursing team. Key Responsibilities Minimum of 2 years full-time or equivalent experience in Cancer nursing. Exceptional leadership and organisational skills. Extensive Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy expertise. Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills. Ability to practice collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to continuous professional development. About You The Day Oncology unit operates Monday to Friday, 0800-1730. Treatment areas include 15 chemotherapy chairs, a procedure room with 2 recovery bays, and Sunbury Day Hospital with 3 chemotherapy chairs operating Wednesdays and Fridays, 0800-1630. The unit also includes the Oncology Hospital in the Home program, delivering cancer therapeutics to patients at home, operating 6 days a week from 0800-1630. The Symptom Urgent Review Clinic (SURC) is nurse-led, managing new chemotherapy patients. This dynamic unit offers a high skill set and diverse nursing opportunities.
