As a Senior Network Architect, you will provide expert leadership, advice, guidance, and oversight to the emergency management sector, focusing on strategy implementation, architecture governance, and technical advisory & design for the network domain. Your New Role The Cloud Network Architect will lead the design and development of cloud network architectures for enterprise-class systems, providing expert leadership, advice, and oversight. Responsibilities include: Leading the design and evolution of cloud network architectures. Creating network architecture diagrams, documentation, and artefacts to communicate technical vision. Driving adoption of network security best practices and compliance. Leading incident response strategies for network issues. Establishing and maintaining change management processes. Staying informed about emerging technologies and trends. Evaluating new technologies for alignment with standards. Reviewing current solutions and recommending enhancements. Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and translating them into technical designs. Contributing to network standards, policies, and guidelines. Participating in tender evaluations. Maintaining up-to-date architectural artefacts repositories. What you'll need to succeed: Extensive experience in network architecture, including public (AWS, Azure), private, and hybrid models. Experience with AWS networking and services like VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Load Balancer, PrivateLink, Route 53, WAF, CloudFront. Experience with layer 4-7 technologies including firewalls, proxies, load balancers, WAFs. Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. Deep understanding of enterprise networking concepts including IP/MPLS, Segment routing, switching, and security. Ability to develop and enforce network standards and policies. Experience in documenting current architectures and developing future roadmaps. Strong understanding of network security and IT risk management. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Effective communication skills across all organisational levels. Ability to present technical concepts confidently to senior stakeholders.
