About The Role The Lead Network Architect is responsible for leading the design, development, and management of the organisation’s network architecture, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of the business, supports strategic initiatives, and aligns with industry best practices. This senior leadership role involves overseeing the entire network, from high-level strategy to detailed implementation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient network solutions. The role will also drive innovation in network technologies, including cloud networking, wireless technologies, SDN (Software-Defined Networking), and next-generation network security. The role can be based in Australia (Brisbane or Perth), Chile (Santiago), Singapore, or India (Bangalore). Key Responsibilities Lead the network architecture vision and strategy to align with the organisation's business goals and technological direction. Develop and maintain a comprehensive network strategy that supports scalability, security, stability/resilience, performance, and future growth. Define and implement long-term network roadmaps, considering emerging technologies, business needs, and global best practices. Provide thought leadership on next-generation networking technologies, including SDN, network automation/routing, cloud networking, and wireless connectivity mediums. Support vendor relationships, co-develop network product/capability roadmaps, and negotiate contracts related to network capabilities and architecture. Oversee the design and implementation of highly available, reliable, and secure global network architecture. Design complex LAN, WAN, cloud integration, edge computing, wireless connectivity, and hybrid cloud environments. About You 10 years of experience in network architecture, including 5 years in senior roles. Skilled in designing and managing complex global networks: LAN/WAN, data centers, cloud, wireless, hybrid environments, and security. Expertise in network security, SDN, and cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP). Deep understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing, and VPNs. Proficient with network automation, monitoring, and observability tools. Experience in vendor management and network procurement. Advanced knowledge of network design and architecture methodologies focusing on scalability, performance, and security. Proficient leadership and team management skills, with the ability to achieve consensus across cross-functional teams. Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, capable of presenting complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to stay updated with the latest network technologies, trends, and industry standards. Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, IT, Telecommunications, or related field.
