Job Summary: The HR Business Partner (HRBP) acts as a consultant and trusted advisor to BU management and employees, addressing Human Resources (HR) and related business needs. This role is designed to support the alignment of HR initiatives with the BU strategic objectives by developing and implementing solutions to enhance employee engagement, organisational culture, and overall performance of employees. Additionally, the HRBP contributes to broader HR initiatives, including supporting talent development and enhancing leadership capabilities. The HRBP also brings critical business acumen to inform their contributions to workforce planning, talent management, and compliance. The role will oversee and manage business operations and resources ensuring compliance in all areas of business operations and employees, including: • Driving employee engagement, productivity, and retention initiatives for the VBU. • Leading workforce planning and organisational design efforts. • Advising on complex employee relations issues. • Ensuring HR compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. • Supporting talent management, succession planning, and training initiatives. • Collaborating on employee onboarding programs to enhance early productivity. • Supporting Group HR projects as required. Job Description: About the Role In the role, you will act as a consultant and trusted advisor to BU management and employees, addressing Human Resources (HR) and related business needs. The role will oversee and manage business operations and resources ensuring compliance in all areas of business operations and employees. The most important duties of the role are: Act as the subject matter expert on all HR policies, providing guidance, development, and interpretation to management and employees. Facilitate business unit restructuring and organisational design, including workforce planning initiatives. Partner with leadership to improve employee engagement, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, including conducting investigations and offering strategic recommendations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws to mitigate risks and ensure compliance. Conduct and analyse a business-wide learning & development needs audit; design, deliver, and evaluate L&D programs for employees and leaders. Provide expertise in employee engagement and development, updating and implementing relevant programs, policies, and tools. Collaborate with the Group HR team on HR projects, including HRIS management and compliance reporting. Collaborate with the Senior Talent Partner on recruitment and onboarding of new employees. Support talent development frameworks to enhance leadership capabilities and build bench strength. About You Ideally, you’ll possess most of the following: Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, with professional accreditation (e.g., AHRI). Expertise in Australian employment regulations. Proven ability to resolve complex employee relations issues with objectivity and fairness. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and rapport with stakeholders at all levels. Motivation, creativity, energy, and flexibility to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Strong business acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to design or enhance HR programs using data-driven insights. Experience in developing and delivering effective L&D programs.
