Position Details Fixed term | Part-Time Academic Level C | $134,362 - $154,558 p.a. pro-rata Location: Bedford Park / Kaurna Country View Position Description About the Role The Knowledge Translation Coordinator will play a key role in developing, managing and implementing knowledge translation projects produced through the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Centre of Research Excellence in Paediatric Palliative Care (CRE in PPC). The incumbent will work with CRE in PPC Investigators, staff, participating organisations, and advisory groups to identify translation research opportunities to engage, influence, and impact care for children with life-limiting conditions and their families. This role is also responsible for: Establishing, supporting, and developing relationships with CRE in PPC participating organisations to facilitate capacity and capability in translation reach and impact. Actively scanning research findings for translatable research and knowledge gaps. Identifying, facilitating, and advising on research translation pathways, communicating collaborative research, translating research, sharing findings, and promoting real world impact. Effectively communicating and disseminating research outcomes to a diverse range of stakeholders. Contributing to the preparation of funding applications that will extend and enhance knowledge translation activities. About You Having completed a post-graduate qualification in health, public policy, science communication or a related discipline, you will have experience using evidence to support change in clinical practice settings alongside an understanding of current theories and practices of knowledge (or research) translation. Your excellent communication skills both written and verbal, along with your effective interpersonal skills, enable you to establish and maintain strong relationships with staff, students and industry. Using your independent judgement and initiative, you can plan, problem-solve and utilise your efficient time-management skills, to organise and coordinate activities required for the functioning of a research centre. You will also be able to demonstrate: High-level written skills to compose and deliver reports and proposals within the University and to external organisations. Consumer and Community engagement in research and practical experience in applying these. An understanding of policy development and clinical practice development and improvement process, and how research can be and/or is utilised within these environments. Sound understanding of a range of research and knowledge translation methodologies. Demonstrated experience delivering project targets in a timely manner.
