Northern Beaches State High School are seeking applications for a dedicated Teacher Aide to join their school on a permanent part-time basis, at 0.79 FTE and 60 hours per fortnight. As Teacher Aide you will have a focus on Manual Art/Technology and Design and will contribute to the provision of quality education by assisting and supporting teachers with the preparation and enhancement of learning materials and associated activities in the Woodworking, Metal Fabricating and engineering, and design aspects. About The Role Responsibilities of the role will include but not limited to: Provide assistance to teachers and students with class material preparation, including cutting timber, plastic and metal to size for class sets.Provide in-class support to students and teachers as required.Undertake maintenance of machinery, including oiling machinery, changing blades, keeping a maintenance register.Act as storeroom manager to keep track of the material store and ensure the smooth transition of new material arriving, including storing of materials and preparing and allocating to workshop classes.Provide support the Head of Department and teachers by undertaking miscellaneous duties, including painting and replenishing stock in classrooms.Research, contact and order from suppliers approved by the Head of Department.Act on Workplace Health and Safety issues immediately.
