The Role: As an Engineering Technologist with Charles Hull Contracting, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our engineering team across various mining operations. You will be responsible for providing technical expertise, assisting with the development and implementation of engineering solutions, and ensuring projects are executed safely and efficiently. Your work will directly contribute to the success of the operations, both on-site and in the office. This is a Full-time, Permanent position. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the planning, design, and optimization of mining processes, including pit design, haulage systems, and processing plant layouts. Conduct site inspections, audits, and assessments to ensure all operations are compliant with safety standards and project specifications. Develop, review, and update engineering documentation, including equipment specifications, technical reports, and operational procedures. Collaborate with engineers and other team members to solve technical challenges and improve operational efficiency. Provide on-site technical support and troubleshoot any issues that arise with equipment or processes. Contribute to the preparation and review of project plans, budgets, and timelines to ensure successful project delivery. Assist in the evaluation and selection of mining equipment and materials based on project requirements and cost-effectiveness. Ensure all engineering work complies with industry regulations and environmental guidelines. Skills and Experience: Degree or Diploma in Mining Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in a mining or resource industry role, preferably within contract mining operations. Proficient in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar mining-specific tools. Strong knowledge of residue storage areas, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a hands-on approach to overcoming technical challenges. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams, clients, and contractors. Ability to work independently and adapt to fast-paced, dynamic environments. A valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various mining sites, including remote locations. Why Join Us?
