Deccan Flavour is a popular Indian restaurant in Redfern, NSW, known for its rich culinary heritage and authentic South Indian and Hyderabadi cuisine. We are passionate about delivering flavorful, high-quality meals and are looking for a talented full time Chef to lead and innovate in our kitchen. Key Responsibilities: Plan and develop menu items with a focus on traditional and modern Indian cuisine. Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff and food preparation activities. Ensure the consistent quality and presentation of all dishes. Oversee food inventory, ordering, and cost control. Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety standards in accordance with regulations. Train and mentor kitchen staff to ensure performance and consistency. Introduce new dishes and seasonal specials to enhance customer experience. Manage kitchen operations efficiently during service times. Monitor portion sizes and waste control to maintain profitability. Requirements: Relevant Qualification Minimum 1 year of experience as a Chef, preferably in an Indian restaurant. Proficiency in Indian cooking techniques and deep understanding of spices and ingredients. Strong leadership and time management skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
