We are now seeking an energetic, commercially astute Hospital Administrator to steer the strategic and operational success of our Hobart hospital. Reporting to the CEO and partnering closely with our national leadership team, you will unite people, processes and performance to ensure seamless patient care, outstanding client experiences and a thriving team culture. Key Focus Areas: Strategic & Business Leadership – translate AES goals into quarterly and annual hospital plans using EOS; track KPIs and drive growth, service expansion and infrastructure projects. Operational Excellence – oversee daily workflow, rostering, resource allocation and client journey to keep wait times low and patient outcomes high. Financial Management – own the budget, revenue cycle, procurement and cost‑control initiatives; monitor performance dashboards to keep results on target. People & Culture – lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary team; champion diversity, wellbeing and psychological safety; embed a learning‑focused, high‑engagement culture. Risk, Safety & Compliance – ensure full WHS compliance, quality auditing and incident readiness across a 24/7 roster; maintain veterinary regulatory standards. Stakeholder & Community Engagement – strengthen relationships with referring vets, suppliers, and community partners; support marketing to build AES Hobart’s profile. Innovation & Technology – drive adoption of PIMS, digital tools and process‑improvement projects to lift efficiency and care quality. What You’ll Bring Tertiary qualification in business, health management, veterinary science or similar. Proven leadership experience in a veterinary, medical or other 24/7 healthcare environment. Demonstrated strength in budgeting, financial analysis and data‑driven decision making. Deep understanding of WHS, clinical compliance and quality systems. Outstanding communication skills and the ability to inspire cross‑functional teams through change and growth.
