Newlands Closure Project is looking for a motivated Technical Services Manager to join our Technical Services Team. Operating as an Open Cut Mine until February 2023, we have now finished coal production and are progressing ahead to new and exciting times as we rehabilitate and close the forty-year-old mine. We strive to be industry leaders as we transition to be Queensland’s largest rehabilitation project to date. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be an enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills who will eagerly accept the many challenges associated with this diverse and rewarding role. Your effective leadership style will enable you to meet and exceed targets, ensuring all rehabilitation activities are conducted in accordance with mine closure plans, HSEC, legislative and statutory requirements. In this role you will be responsible for: · Leading, mentoring, and motivating our technical services department to develop, implement and monitor technical initiatives for blasting, bulk earthworks, civil activities, tailings capping and other closure activities. · Demonstrating the delivery of business and strategic objectives. · Managing the closure of the mine; schedule, budget, and design from concept to execution planning in line with the project plan. · Providing consistent support to all departments onsite and coordinating the information to meet/exceed our annual plans.
