The Role A fantastic opportunity exists for a driven and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join a collaborative Group Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting corporate finance functions including monthly reporting, tax compliance, and internal and external audit processes. Responsibilities Maintain accuracy and integrity of transactional accounting in line with accounting standards Support the preparation of monthly internal reports and statutory external reporting Assist with the preparation and lodgement of BAS, GST, FBT and income tax returns Perform general ledger maintenance, month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations Contribute to half-year and full-year statutory audit processes Provide timely delivery of divisional month-end results Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Finance, Shared Services and Treasury Drive continuous improvement and uphold best practice within the finance function The Candidate CA or CPA qualified, with a relevant tertiary degree in Accounting or Finance Experience in business services from a first or second-tier accounting firm Prior exposure to ASX-listed reporting environments (desirable) Strong understanding of Australian taxation frameworks (income tax, GST, FBT) Proficient in Microsoft Excel (macros, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred) Exceptional attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills Proactive, adaptable, and able to thrive in a dynamic team environment
