Senior Advisor, Media and Communication Full-Time, Ongoing VPS Grade 5.1 ($113,022 - $124,884, plus superannuation) Hybrid working arrangements available What you will be doingReporting directly to the Senior Manager, External Communication, this role will be responsible for: identifying and pursuing public relations opportunities to build awareness of the VEC and our advocacy priorities building and maintaining strong relationships with the media and monitoring for emerging media issues developing strategic communication plans for high priority programs, projects and major election events supporting senior spokespeople with tailored media advice and guidance contributing to issues and crisis management media strategies in an issues rich environment. What you will bring to the roleThe successful candidate will need: significant experience in media or public relations management the ability to tell a compelling story coupled with impeccable oral and written communication skills planning skills and the flexibility to prioritise competing work demands commitment to the VEC's core values.
