About the Role The Enrolled Nurse – Endoscopy is responsible for providing patient-centred, evidence-based nursing care within the Endoscopy Unit, under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. The role requires adherence to organisational policies, procedures, and professional standards, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care aligned with NSQHS Standards, ACORN, and GENCA guidelines. The Enrolled Nurse will work within their scope of practice as defined by AHPRA and organisational guidelines. Requirements of the Role Essential: · Recognised Nursing qualification and current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia though the Australian Health Practitioner Regulations Agency (AHPRA). · Previous experience in Endoscopy or Perioperative Nursing. · Demonstrated understanding of infection control principles and reprocessing guidelines. · Ability to take initiative, is self-motivated, and can work as part of a team with minimal supervision. · Exhibit a strong work ethic by consistently displaying punctuality, integrity, respect for others, and a dedication to professional standards. · Proficient in: ü Problem solving and analytical abilities. ü Organisational skills. ü Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. · Recognises that additional duties and responsibilities may be required occasionally, beyond those outlined in this document. You will be required to have or able to obtain: · Tertiary qualification in nursing and current registration as a Registered Nurse with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia though the Australian Health Practitioner Regulations Agency (AHPRA). · Verification of eligibility to work in Australia. · Identification check validation. · Police check clearance. Desirable: · GENCA or ACORN membership. · Experience in the reprocessing of reusable medical devices · Post-graduate qualification in Perioperative or Endoscopy Nursing.
