Rotations following the initial 12-months allocation to Advanced Trainee Paediatric General Medicine will be determined in line with your training and SA Health’s requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills, and capabilities. About the Opportunity We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the State-Wide Paediatric General Medicine team as an Advanced Trainee / Fellow in Paediatric General Medicine at Women's & Children's Hospital, Flinders Medical Centre or Lyell McEwin Hosptial where you will be responsible for: Participating in at least two outpatient clinics per week, Leading teams on a daily basis ensuring that all patients admitted under the clinic have a comprehensive process of admission, management & discharge, and participate in the 08:30 handover meeting. Assessing and managing acute emergencies and arrange for appropriate ongoing management Participating in the Department’s teaching and continuing education program, and contribute to the quality management activities within the Department Managing the General Medicine Department TMO roster and co-ordination of Paediatric after Hours cover in conjunction with the nominated General Medicine Consultant and the TMO Unit. About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS) or equivalent, Registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner Clinical experience and competence in the practice of paediatric medicine Ability to work as an effective team member in a multi-disciplinary environment Ability to communicate effectively with customers and other staff Problem solving and decision-making skills (both clinical and individual) What SA Health Local Health Networks Can Offer You Relocation financial support may be negotiated, subject to eligibility.
