About The Opportunities The Safety, Development & Training team plays a critical role in building a skilled, engaged, and safety-conscious workforce. We are currently offering two exciting opportunities for Support Officers to join our team, with each role dedicated to a specialised focus area: Development and Training or Safety and Wellbeing . Development & Training Support Officer This is an exciting opportunity to support Council’s strategic direction by providing high-level administrative assistance across a broad range of Safety, Development & Training programs. In this role, you will support the development, promotion, and coordination of initiatives that enhance staff capability, support a culture of continuous improvement, and contribute to a safe and high-performing workplace. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will help ensure the successful delivery of training and development programs across all areas of Council. About You Demonstrated experience in an administrative or similar role is essential. Exposure to human resources, workplace health and safety, organisational development/and or learning and development desirable. Demonstrated experience in the provision of high-quality customer service in a busy professional environment. Advanced Microsoft Excel capability, confident with formulas, pivot tables and basic data analysis/reporting. High-level proficiency with other Microsoft tools (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with online databases. Well-developed organisational skills, including the ability to manage and prioritise a wide range of tasks with minimal supervision. Proven ability to work within a team in a professional manner, including the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders as well as external organisations and agencies. Experience with system implementation, maintenance, project management, delivery, and reporting techniques desirable. Exposure to Learning Management Systems (LMS) will be highly regarded. Safety & Wellbeing Support Officer This is a great opportunity to contribute to a safe, healthy and supportive workplace by providing high-quality administrative and system support across Council’s Work Health and Safety, rehabilitation, and wellbeing functions. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of safety systems and processes, maintaining accurate records, and delivering responsive customer service. Your support will help drive positive safety outcomes and promote the wellbeing of staff across the organisation. About You Proven experience providing high-level administrative support in a WHS, rehabilitation / injury-management, health-administration or similar regulated environment. Working knowledge of workers compensation / rehabilitation claim processes and basic medical terminology sufficient to prepare documentation and liaise with medical providers. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and confidence using electronic WHS, injury-management or other business databases, including data entry, maintenance and report generation. High-level written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deal confidentially and professionally with personal or sensitive information and build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both individually and as a part of a team including working professionally in shared and open office spaces. Proven attention to detail, time management and effective workload management skills to ensure work is accurate and delivered within strict timeframes.
