We operate a multi-million dollar fleet of specialised underground mining equipment across multiple continents and conditions. We are currently looking for experienced Underground Maintenance Supervisors to join us across our WA operations. Responsibilities/Duties: Hold and attend Maintenance / Mining Pre-Shift Meetings each shift Maintain a positive safety, quality and performance culture within the maintenance department consistent with the purpose, ambition and core values of BAPL Provide clear leadership and standards across the maintenance department through visual leadership behaviours, clear communication to crew leaders and work teams Ensuring the strong support is in place to enable completion of high-quality incident investigations, to identify and prevent recurrence of incidents and improve safety leadership and culture within the maintenance department on the mine site Contributing to the development and continuous improvement of BAPL maintenance management systems Ensure the day-to-day operation of the workshop and the delegation of work to the workshop personnel Identifying maintenance requirements and improvements Managing contractors to complete maintenance projects Executing and supervising all maintenance work both planned and unplanned Ensure all maintenance tasks performed are within the compliance of safe operating procedure and standard job guidelines Ensure maintenance coverage for breakdowns Support and train maintenance personnel to provide a safe, efficient and effective work place including participating in the technical and performance evaluation of maintenance personnel and provide constructive feedback to improve their competency Ordering adequate spares, materials and consumables whilst overseeing the development and management of equipment parts lists, consumables list, stock levels of parts and consumables Initiate and participate in equipment and job status handovers with mine Supervisors and cross shift operators Requirements: Relevant trade certificates Exposure to underground mining equipment essential Must have or be willing to obtain a Statutory Supervisor Ticket Proven experience in leading teams is preferred Ability to make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities Ability to act as a key focal point / subject matter experts Strong organisational and time management skills Have a good understanding of general OHS Hold a current Dangerous Goods Security Card (WA Sites only) A valid Australian Manual Drivers licence Maintain good relationships with other personnel, including Byrnecut and client personnel We Offer: Permanent Full-time position with a Tier 1 Mining Contractor, maintaining cutting edge equipment and technology Competitive payrates Various Rosters Available 11.5% Superannuation paid on all hours worked Great company culture with a supportive management team Salary sacrifice options available Discounted health insurance with Bupa, HBF and Medibank Novated vehicle leasing through SG Fleet & Toyota Fleet Management Discounted vehicles & servicing through Eagers Automotive Group Dealership Discounted Accor Hotels & Crown Perth accommodation Discounted Hertz & Budget car hire Career development opportunities The successful candidates will be required to meet our pre-employment criteria including drug and alcohol screening prior to an Offer of Employment being made.
