Your part in Uniting Care QLD Metro Hospitals team As a Speech Pathologist at Uniting Care QLD Metro Hospitals, you will be involved in the care of patients in the neurology, acute stroke, medical, surgical, critical care and emergency units within the hospital, working with patients to assess, diagnose, treat and manage a range of communication and swallowing impairments. With a focus on delivering high-quality clinical expertise, you will be an experienced practitioner, providing clinical practice development and training opportunities to less experienced allied health staff, assistants and students, under the guidance of senior clinical staff. You will deliver high quality speech pathology clinical services across a number of clinical areas, incorporating strategies within speech pathology processes and treatment plans, with a commitment to providing exceptional person-centred care. What makes a difference for us? Tertiary Degree in Speech Pathology Certified practicing member of Speech Pathology Australia 3 years post graduate clinical experience in acute hospital setting for adults Experience with Videofluoroscopic Swallow Study desirable Experience in oncology and head and neck cancer caseloads desirable Commitment to multidisciplinary teamwork and high-level communication skills Competency in Tracheostomy desirable What makes a difference for you?
