Job Expectations A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for a Senior Portfolio Manager reporting to the Executive Manager, Field Portfolio Governance & Delivery. A bit about your role As the Senior Portfolio Manager, you will be at the heart of driving the nbn Field Strategy. You will manage the overall strategic portfolio scope, ensuring alignment and delivery of the nbn Field Strategy. Your responsibilities will include partnering with key senior stakeholders to set prioritisation, manage portfolio-level governance, and execute the strategic roadmap for Field Services. You will ensure that benefit profiles and required timelines for delivery are met. Your role will involve collaborating with Project Managers, Business Delivery Owners, and Technology Delivery Owners to ensure clarity on outcomes, deliverables, and targets. You will govern programs, projects, and capabilities under the assigned portfolio to ensure initiatives are delivered within required timeframes and budgets. Additionally, you will manage risks and escalate issues in a timely manner, partner closely with the Field Services Commercial Management team, and provide compassionate strategic delivery and prioritisation advice. A bit about you If this sounds like the role for you, you will likely have extensive experience in managing portfolios, programs, and projects within large organisations. You possess strong problem-solving and root cause identification skills, with the ability to frame complex problems and identify key issues. Your experience in leading problem-solving initiatives and engaging with stakeholders will be crucial. You are commercially aware of current telecommunications and field services industry business drivers and have an in-depth understanding of telecommunications industry processes, networks, and IT systems. Your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build solid relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. You are self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to lead and manage indirect reports. Your proactive approach and commitment to continuous improvement will ensure the success of our strategic initiatives.
