Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network, Angaston Hospital and Tanunda Hospital Salary: WHA3 $1,106.10 to $1,117.60 per week (Pro-rata) Superannuation and Salary Sacrifice Benefits Permanent Part-Time Position – Fridays Only, 7.6 Hours Per Week (potential to pick up additional backfill duties at times) Overview Joining the friendly team across our Angaston Hospital and Tanunda Hospital sites, you will be responsible for performing general facility maintenance associated with the interior and exterior of the health unit. Your duties may include rubbish collection, minor carpentry, painting, plumbing, mechanical and grounds maintenance. Selecting, establishing and maintaining simple gardens, you will install and maintain a wide range of watering systems and formulate, prepare and apply herbicides, pesticides, weedicides or specialty fertilisers. You may also perform advanced tractor operations requiring the set up and calibration of a broad range of implements to undertake more complex grounds functions. As part of your role, you will provide assistance and guidance to other employees, including on the job training. You will have prior experience in building and grounds maintenance, with practical experience in using a wide range of hand and power tools. You will have a sound understanding of the Occupational Health Safety & Welfare acts relevant to a maintenance role.
