We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our dedicated team in Burton, South Australia About the Role The Mechanical Fitter will be responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and testing mechanical systems and machinery to ensure their reliable and safe operation. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to health and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Assemble and fit mechanical components and systems according to technical drawings and specifications Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments accurately and safely Perform inspections and functional tests to ensure quality and compliance Work closely with engineers and tradespeople to troubleshoot and improve equipment performance Maintain accurate service and maintenance records Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures and policies Specialist Knowledge, Competencies and Skills Strong understanding of the mechanical fitting industry Ability to diagnose faults and resolve system issues efficiently Knowledge of mechanical system structure and function Proficient in the correct use of mechanical tools and instruments Able to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering standards Interpersonal Skills Clear verbal and written communication Professional appearance and conduct Excellent time management and punctuality Accountable, honest, and dependable Values teamwork, shares knowledge, and contributes to a positive team culture Respects diversity and promotes an inclusive work environment Qualifications and Experience Certificate III in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent recognised trade qualification White Card (Construction Safety Induction) Confined Space and Working at Heights certifications Forklift and Dogman/Rigger licences are advantageous Demonstrated experience in mechanical fitting or a similar trade environment How to Apply If you are a qualified Mechanical Fitter with a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement, we want to hear from you.
