Purchasing & Logistics Manager – E-Commerce Our client is Australia’s largest alternative online store – a bold, award-winning e-commerce brand known for its edgy style, cult products, and outstanding service. With a huge range of clothing, homewares, cosmetics, shoes, pop culture collectibles, derby gear, and baby items, everything they sell is 100% genuine and officially licensed. No drop-shipping, no cheap TEMU copies – just fast dispatch and great service from their own warehouse in Windsor. With multiple business awards between 2016 and 2022 and a rapidly growing team, this business is scaling up – and they need a Purchasing & Logistics Manager to help lead the charge. Why this role matters: As the business grows, they’re implementing a new ERP and Warehouse Management System (WMS), refining their logistics processes, and building stronger supply chain relationships. You’ll be at the centre of it all — managing stock levels, overseeing freight, and driving system improvements that take the operation to the next level. It’s a hands-on role to begin with, but once the foundations are in place, you’ll have the chance to shape the function and grow with the business. Your Key Responsibilities: Inventory & Stock Management: Maintain optimal stock levels across all platforms. Ensure prompt, efficient ordering and reliable supply chain operations. Supplier Relations: Place and coordinate supplier orders. Negotiate pricing and contracts with international and local suppliers and freight partners. Logistics Coordination: Organise domestic and international freight. Track shipments, resolve delays, and ensure timely, cost-effective delivery. Cost Optimisation: Audit freight and logistics processes. Use Free Trade Agreements to minimise duties and seek new cost-saving opportunities. Pricing & Product Management: Set competitive pricing. Track freight quotes vs invoiced amounts and manage vendor audits. Team Leadership: Lead and train the Purchasing & Buying team. Communicate effectively across departments and resolve procurement/logistics issues. Reporting & Analysis: Provide weekly updates on inventory, stock movements, and financials via Shopify and Xero. WMS Implementation: Take the lead on implementing a new Warehouse Management System and integrating barcode/scanner software. Process Improvement: Review existing processes regularly and suggest improvements to boost efficiency and cut costs. About You: You’re a purchasing and logistics expert with e-commerce smarts. You understand international freight, FTAs, and customs, and know how to build a resilient supply chain while keeping costs sharp. You’ll thrive in this role if you have: Proven experience in a Purchasing, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management role – ideally in e-commerce or fast-paced retail Experience with ERP systems (Odoo, Cin7, Salesforce, etc.) A strong grasp of international freight, supplier negotiations, and inventory control Hands-on experience implementing a WMS and using barcode/scanner systems Excellent leadership and communication skills A data-driven, problem-solving mindset Proactive reporting and action on stock trends, pricing, and supplier performance A proven ability to keep high-selling items in stock, launch products on time, and coordinate with multiple departments What’s In It for You?
