About the Role: We are seeking a qualified and motivated Training Manager to join our team in Papua New Guinea as an expatriate employee. In this critical role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing internal technical training programs delivered by our OEM partners. The goal is to ensure our technical and service teams are aligned with the latest OEM standards, technology, and best practices. This is a hands-on position best suited to someone with a Diploma in Automobile Engineering, experience in the motor industry, and a strong commitment to workforce development in a dynamic, multicultural environment. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate and manage all OEM-provided training programs across branches and departments. Serve as the primary point of contact between OEMs and the company for all training matters. Develop and maintain a detailed annual training plan and calendar, tailored to operational needs. Ensure all service, workshop, and technical staff are trained in line with OEM certification standards. Monitor training progress, maintain records of attendance and certification, and report regularly to management. Evaluate training effectiveness and adapt programs based on staff performance and feedback. Support the onboarding and upskilling of new technicians and apprentices. Promote a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence throughout the business. Ensure all training activities comply with safety standards, company policies, and OEM guidelines. Qualifications and Experience: Diploma in Automobile Engineering (mandatory). Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar training, workshop, or technical coordination role in the automotive sector. Proven experience working with OEM training programs and standards. Previous expat experience or exposure to multicultural work environments is highly desirable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Strong planning, presentation, and people development skills.
