The Opportunity Our industry leading Real Estate practice group are looking for a Practice Management Assistant to join them on a full-time basis working 8:30 am – 5:00 pm. This role will suit an experienced Legal Assistant (Legal Secretary) who is looking to take the next step in their career within a fast-paced rewarding role. Your day will involve: As a trusted member of the team, your day will be filled with a variety of tasks, including: Overseeing the practice group’s monthly billing process including creation of pre-bills, editing, finalising, and posting onto the system Managing and executing complex billing processes Assisting with the matter lifecycle and recommending process improvements. Coordinating and producing accurate correspondence including engagement and billing letters. Collaborate with the legal operations team to prepare, manage and streamline client financial reports for partners and lawyers. Supporting the practice to achieve high levels of financial hygiene including analysing, reviewing and improving existing billing and expense management processes. Supporting the team with project rollouts and training initiatives Assisting partners and lawyers with business development responsibilities. Skills & experience: The successful candidate will have a passion for working collaboratively within a team, a proactive approach to delivering your work and strong attention to detail. You will also have: Previous experience as a Legal Assistant Previous billing experience is essential Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite Previous matter management experience Good written and verbal communication skills A demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders Proven organisational and time management skills with the ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail and organisational skills to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
