Combining the practical and the aesthetic aspects of garden maintenance makes this role very satisfying for those who enjoy creating beautiful, peace ful and bountiful spaces , as well as neatness and order . Key responsibilities: Gardening activities: Applying a wealth of gardening knowledge and experience to regular maintenance such as sweeping , raking, mowing, w eeding , pruning , mulching , composting and watering , as well as ongoing seasonal tasks to keep the harvest garden productive and pest-free. Garden projects: Using vision, creativity and some project and budgeting management, consult with manager to plan and build g arden beds, paths, and other garden features . Garden e quipment: Bringing a good dose of responsibility, ensure tools and equipment are properly checked, used and stored , with particular attention to ensuring they are maintained in safe working order at all times . Q ualifications and skills (desired/ ): Knowledge and e xperience in plants, soils , seasonal maintenance and small gardening projects is Confident using and caring for gardening tools and equipment Level of fitness to undertake gardening activities, including digging and lifting soil Good communication skills, both listening to and conveying information / ideas /suggestions Background check requirements : Background checks play an important part in our commitment to being a safe organisation.
