ABOUT US The Salvation Army is a Christian movement and one of Australia's largest and most-loved charities. We believe in doing good that transforms lives and futures for the better. It is this belief which drives us to find new ways and places where we can make a difference. From times of personal crisis to moments of national grief, we are always here — providing support, safety, community, and opportunity. We are looking for helpful people to assist us to open our Drop-In Centre in the mornings and/or the late afternoon. We have rough sleepers in our community that depend on our services - warm showers, a cup of coffee and a friendly face! For the morning shift, we'd need two volunteers to open the centre by 7am. For the night shift, we'd need two volunteers to open up at 5pm. These shifts will be done in pairs. Shift mays vary in times depending on demand from our community. Some days are quieter than others! Other than opening our doors, we'd love for you to turn on the coffee machine for our community members, then relax!
